Welcome!
I am an incoming Postdoctoral Research Scientist at New York University’s Stern School of Business. I completed my PhD in Social-Personality Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, where I was mentored by Dr. Bertram Gawronski. My research uses a social-cognitive approach to uncover the mechanisms underlying people’s judgments of what is right and true. My work primarily combines computational modeling approaches with studies that use observational and experimental methods.
If you have any questions about my research, feel free to reach out to me at nyx@utexas.edu.

My first name is pronounced ‘nix’/‘nicks’ and my last name ‘uhng’. If you are still struggling with the latter, my last name is a dialectal variation of the common family name Hwang/Huang (黄), so you can address me by that too.
